Job Description:
Cath Lab Technologist job in Fresno, California seeks to assist
physicians and nurses with invasive cardiovascular procedures and
provide quality images and data analysis for
interpretation.Responsibilities:
- Assists physicians and nurses with invasive cardiovascular
procedures, including heart catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker
insertion, pericardiocentesis, and cardioversion.
- Performs non-invasive procedures such as echocardiograms,
treadmills, and pacemaker evaluations.
- Ensures quality images and data analysis for interpretation and
provides accurate test data to physicians.
- Prepares for invasive procedures, records and burns procedure
images, orders and stocks supplies, and calibrates equipment.
- Connects patients to electrocardiographic monitoring systems,
monitors and records intra-cardiac pressures, and makes
post-examination calculations.
- Assembles calculations, recorded data, and log sheets into a
final report for use by cardiologists.
- Complies with established personal protective equipment and
safety requirements.Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, or Completion of
a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate
required.
- Two years college with coursework in Biology, Anatomy, and
Physiology required.
- Experience in the healthcare industry and/or a healthcare
setting required.
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
required.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or
National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role
required.
- BAC - Basic Arrhythmia Course required within 1 year of hire or
transfer into position.
