qualified Telemetry RN in Bakersfield, California, 93301 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Float Pool
Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour
Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float Guaranteed Hours: 36
hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - AHA or APEX Must-Have: Cerner
experience, no first-time travelers Job Description: - Work in a
Cardiac and Stroke telemetry float pool. - Provide care for 24-hour
post-CABG patients, chest tubes, pacer wires, and more. -
Competency in stroke care and NIH assessment is necessary. - Handle
post-procedural patients from cerebral thrombectomy and coilings. -
Fast-paced unit with high patient turnover and acuity. -
Responsible for interpreting telemetry strips and setting alarm
rates. - Experience with cardiac medications such as Cardizem,
Amiodarone, and Heparin drips following protocol. - No vent
management required; high-flow and bedside CPAP maintained by RT. -
Access to 24/7 pharmacy and RT assistance. - Possible float to
various units and ICU, with appropriate patient assignments based
on competency. - Ability to float to telemetry units and, if
necessary, to ICU with orientation. - Compliance with scrub color
requirements: navy blue with optional navy, white, or black
undershirts. - Shift includes a 30-minute break and three 15-minute
breaks. - Experience in high-risk environments with an average of
